We began with one play, a borrowed hall, and an unreasonable conviction. ರಂಗಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಯುವ ಜನರನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ಕರೆತರುವುದು

That young people would return to the stage, that Kannada theatre deserved to be made well and seen widely — that conviction has carried us across twenty‑five years.

Pradarshana Kalaa Samsthe was founded in 2001 by P D Sathish Chandra and friends from the early years of Ranga Shankara and Bangalore Little Theatre. The work has spanned full‑length plays, anthology evenings, music programmes, festivals, and training camps.

Today Prakasam runs productions under its Kalaa Krushi banner, hosts festivals like Rangaayama, mentors interns, and supports performances at KH Kala Soudha — the venue founded by the same team in 2010.
